The One Man Show: Converse

CONVERSE: One man show.

Converse is two characters; Outspoken Bean and the audience.  Converse is a funny, blunt, and unashamed performance where literal conversations happen between a scripted show about Bean’s life growing up as a military brat, heartbreak, personal mistakes, and an obsession he has with talking to himself.  Bean shares his life on stage through spoken-word, stand-up comedy, theatre, and uses his original poetry to bring therapeutic and sometimes uncontrollable laughter to his audience. (Performance length: 75 minutes, no intermission.)

  1. I ran across a lady named Ms. Ruby who led me to this website I want to be apart of this. I want to help people’s word be heard.

      • I am from Maryland. I was visiting the VA office with my best friend and she just happened to be there. She introduced herself asked about my interest and mentioned you and your website. I thought it was fate since I have been looking for direction.

  2. I’ve always been a huge fan of the arts poetry, spoken word, plays, art and fashion. This is something I’ve looking to get into for years. This is something I would do for free given the chance. My question is how can I be apart of the great things you are doing ?

    • There’s a lot of events happening in the DMV area (I’m assuming that’s where you are) like Busboys and Poets have events, Split this Rock, and next weekend the Individual World Poetry Slam (IWPS) will be hosted in DC. But, if you are more curious about the work that I am doing specifically? Well, I live in Houston but I’ll perform wherever. I guess I need to know more details.

      • That’s crazy my brother lives in Houston. I’m definitely interested in what you do and how you got started. I’m guest I’m just trying to open doors of opportunities for myself but not sure where to start.
